VoiceNotes - Privacy Policy

VoiceNotes is an Android voice-notes application. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the app, why it is processed, where it is stored, and how you can delete it.

1. Information we process

Depending on the features you use, VoiceNotes processes:

• Account information: your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile-photo URL when you sign in with Google.
• Voice recordings: audio that you choose to record and upload for transcription.
• Voice-note content: recording titles, transcripts, summaries, action items, categories, chat prompts, and AI-generated responses.
• Subscription information: Google Play product identifier, purchase token, and subscription status needed to verify and provide your subscription benefits. VoiceNotes does not receive or store your payment-card or bank-account details.
• Device tokens: a notification-service token when notifications are enabled and configured, so the app can deliver processing-status notifications.

VoiceNotes does not use advertising identifiers, sell personal data, or include analytics, crash-reporting, or behavioural-tracking SDKs.

2. How we use information

We use this information to:

• authenticate your account;
• upload, store, transcribe, organise, and display your voice notes;
• generate summaries and other AI features you request;
• verify Google Play subscriptions and provide subscription benefits;
• send optional processing-status notifications; and
• maintain the security and reliability of the service.

3. Where information is processed and stored

VoiceNotes keeps working data on your device and also uses remote services for the cloud-based voice-note workflow:

• Cloud infrastructure providers process requests and store private audio objects, account records, recordings, transcripts, and related note data.
• AI service providers receive audio or text needed to perform the transcription or AI feature you request.
• Google Identity Services provides Google Sign-In.
• Google Play Billing processes payments and provides purchase information used for subscription verification.
• Notification service providers may process device tokens to deliver notifications when notifications are enabled and configured.

Information is transmitted using HTTPS/TLS. Local app data may also be stored on your device, including in the app database and app-specific files.

4. Sharing and service providers

We use the providers listed above to operate VoiceNotes. They process information only as needed to provide their services. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain remote account and voice-note data while your account is active, unless deletion is requested or a longer retention period is required by law.

You can delete your VoiceNotes account and associated remote data from the app or through our public deletion page:

The deletion flow verifies your identity with Google, then removes your account, recordings, transcripts, AI-generated content, subscription records, and related remote data. If deletion is still being processed, the service prevents new uploads and completes cleanup on retry. Some data may remain temporarily in provider backups or where retention is legally required.

You can also remove local app data by deleting recordings in the app, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the app.

6. Permissions

• Microphone: used only to record voice notes when you start recording.
• Notifications: used to show optional transcription or processing-status notifications.
• Internet: used for sign-in, cloud storage, transcription, AI features, subscription verification, and notifications.

VoiceNotes does not request Calendar or Contacts access.

7. Children's privacy

VoiceNotes is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under the minimum age required to use the applicable services in your region.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when VoiceNotes or applicable requirements change. We will publish the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date.
